AROUND ALBION

Located in one of the most beautiful basins in the Rocky Mountains, the City of Albion is rich with history and fun outdoor recreational activities.  Marsh Creek Inn is located at the base of the popular Pomerelle Mountain and is the perfect location to begin your adventure-packed or relaxing vacation.

Adventure Through Albion

Marsh Creek Inn is perfectly situated at the base of one of Idaho's oldest ski resorts, Pomerelle Mountain Resort.  The resort has 500 skiable acres located in the Sawtooth National Forest and skiers and riders can enjoy 24 runs, 2 terrain parks and a 1,000 foot vertical drop serviced by one triple, one double, and one surface lift. Pomerelle benefits from an average annual snowfall of 500 inches and is often one of the first resorts in Idaho to open for the season.

During the summer, the resort offers lift-served mountain biking as well as an 18-hole disc golf course, scenic chairlift rides, volleyball and hiking and running trails.

Just 25 miles away, and open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year-round, the City of Rocks is Southern Idaho's best backcountry adventures.  The reserve offers vast recreational opportunities in all seasons including rock climbing, hiking, hunting, and adventure. Nearby Castle Rocks State Park exhibits similar scenic beauty, climbing, miles of hiking trails, mountain biking, horseback riding, and shaded picnic areas beside Almo Creek.

Visiting in October?  Stop by the Haunted Mansions of Albion - the largest indoor/outdoor haunted production in the Northwest.  On this tour, you will make your way through multiple 100+ year old  buildings including the Albion State Normal School, an abandoned college campus. During the rest of the year, the site is available for family reunions and weddings.
